The California Assembly passed a bill to ban concealed carry on all college campuses in the state.
Just two days later, at a college of 25,000 students, a shooting occurred resulting in one person dead and two others injured.
The college is in Sacramento proper and the Sacramento police responded quickly to evacuate the campus and begin search for the assassin.
We don’t know the accused killer’s motives at this point. You have to wonder though if the campus ban on firearms could have made this a much easier decision. The gunman probably believed his odds of being deterred were low since students and faculty would have no way to defend themselves.
