What skills should our children be learning at school besides reading, writing and arithmetic?
Why not gardening? The Waldorf School in Cape Cod thinks this is so important that they have installed a hoop house greenhouse and have been mentoring the students as they learn to do basic gardening.
How wonderful to teach children the love of gardening while they are young! Not only does this provide the student with a life long skill that is valuable, but even more importantly it gives them a passion for growing things that most kids today never experience.
Kudos to this school and for all others that follow suit. Please explore the link to Goods Home Design where the details of this school’s project is provided for you plus video demonstrations.
